He served as Director/Owner of TOWNCARS Deer Park, a Hire Car company, and AUSTCLEAN, a cleaning company where he oversaw the finances and operations. He was involved also in budgeting, forecasting, inventory and internal control of his business. In addition to that, he practised Accounting, Audit, Law and Tax Compliance for almost twenty (20) years from various companies.

Since that time, Terry has become one of Australia's pre-eminent advisers to the medical profession. He has acted as a lawyer, accountant and/or financial adviser for more than 2,000 doctors, and is often called upon to present to groups such as General Practice Registrars Australia. He is also a regular columnist for Australian Doctor.
Terry has been writing extensively on financial planning and particularly on financial planning for doctors. He is noted for taking a wholistic, sustainable and practical approach to providing taxation and accounting services to medical doctors.

Serra has extensive experience in financial planning as a compliance officer with a large licencee and as a para-planner. Serra holds a degree in Mass Communication majoring in Public Relations and is currently pursuing a Masters in Law.
